Our Favourite Virtual Instruments and DAW Effect Plug-ins
In no particular order, these are some of our most loved virtual instruments that we use frequently on our tracks.
Mark is a big fan if this plug-in mainly because of the really nice selection of dusty drum sounds and understated percussion elements. The pianos and pads are also pretty cool and we often preview them on solo parts to add a vintage feel to some of our pieces.
Great Dusty sounds with a large library that can keep you occupied for hours.
Would suit fans of not just Lo-Fi but Boom Bap, Hip-Hop and Chilled Vibes.
There are literally tens of thousands of effects plug-ins to choose from and we are lucky to be able to preview many of these prior to commercial release. We go through phases with many effects, particularly granular software products but these below are ones we regularly use.
Drop Pad enables the user to experiment with some seriously exotic sound shaping using straightforward controls, Paul likes this one a lot!
Great for for luscious clouds of reverb, otherworldly delays, and swelling waves of feedback, and it's free!
